健康システムの向上と患者のケアを改善するために、管理口腔保健と治療のビッグデータを使用する意義とは？
世界中の口腔ケアの配信システムは、患者の膨大なデータを保有しています。過去にはこれらのデータは、主に財政の管理との安全性のモニタリングのために使用されていました。 大規模な口腔保健医療システム データベースの使用は、口腔保健サービスの発展に関し、新しい視点を盛り込むことを可能にしています。例えば、分析は、次のように使われます；治療経過と反応の追跡、長期的ケアの成果をモニタリング、口腔と全身の健康の関連をリンクして探る、治療提供の報酬システムと健康の結果の影響を比較し、開業医の活動と患者の口腔保健成果にシステム デザインの変化がどう影響するのかを検討する、などです。効果的な病気の予防と侵襲的治療の低減を重視し推奨するためのフィードバックループを開発するためにこれらのデータを使用します。
このプレゼンテーションでは口腔保健サービスにおけるビッグデータの現在の使用の概要を説明し、疾病予防成功のための改善を容易にするための予防的介護の指標に基づく実験と患者様へのフィードバックのシステムの融合を目的とした、革新的な新しいプロジェクト (提唱) が提言されました。具体的なビッグデータの例で面白かったのは、Oral Bという電動歯ブラシをアプリと連携させて、世界中のどこで使われたか、平均使用時間、などがわかり、データ集積されるというものでした。
Dentauest(U.S.)、NHS（U.K.）UNITED CONCORDIAなど、様々なビッグデータの集積先が紹介されました。よければ皆さんものぞいてみてください。

What is the potential to use extensive repositories of administrative oral health and treatment Data to improve health system performance and patient care?
Oral care delivery system all over the world hold vast databases of patient data. In the past these data have been used largely for financial administration and monitoring probity.
Powerful interrogation of the large oral health care system databases is now enabled by developments of on analytics which can provide new insights into service rerated determinants of oral health.
For example analytics can be used to: track care processes and activity ; to monitor long term oral health outcomes associated with care; to link oral and general health records and explore the relationship between general health and oral health; to compare the impact of remuneration systems on treatment provided and health outcomes and to study the effect of changes in system design on practitioner's activity and patient's oral health outcomes. Potentially, we can use these data to develop a health outcomes feedback loop to encourage a greater emphasis on effective disease prevention and a concomitant reduction invasive treatment.
This presentation will give an overview of the current use of oral health services data, and describe an innovative new project (ADVOCATE) which aims to couple a patient feedback system with practice based indicators of preventive care to facilitate monitoring and improvement of success in disease prevention.
